California HOSA is chartered by the California Department of Education and endorsed as an essential component of health sciences education. Cal-HOSA, Inc. is the nonprofit organization that manages the HOSA Charter in California and receives funding from students, alumni, industry supporters, schools, and the California Department of Education via state AB-8, SB 70, and federal Perkins Fund allocations.
