If you have a student who is competing in any of the special needs events, please note that you must submit the Student Eligibility Form to the CE director at as provided in that student’s chosen Competitive Event guidelines.

Students registered in a special needs event will be changed from a competitor to an attendee if the forms have not been received by the deadline.
State Leadership Conference Students must be classified under the provision of The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1997 Public Law 105-17 to compete in the special needs events. (Students must have an IEP. DO NOT submit the student’s IEP paperwork to California HOSA.)
Participation in many HOSA Competitive Events at ILC requires competitors to upload digital materials. For the 2023 – 2024 membership year, a new system, the HOSA Digital Upload System, will be used. This integrates with the existing HOSA Conference Management System (CMS) so the uploads will be very user-friendly for members and advisors. All instructions for the HOSA Digital Upload System and Competitive Events can be found in the event guidelines and summarized here.

The Cal-HOSA Business Meeting is the student voting delegate meeting that will occur on Saturday afternoon. The voting delegates and alternates are registered online during the chapter registration process. Each chapter receives delegates in accordance with the table below:
